Small Groups exist at Nativity to provide an opportunity during the week for people to meet together, share what's happening in their lives and learn from God’s word. Most groups meet weekly, usually in someone’s home, and are made up of anywhere between 4 to 12 people. When asked what was most important, Jesus basically said, “Love God and love people.” (Matthew 22:37-39) So that’s what we are going for in our small groups, and why we encourage people who commit to being members of Nativity to join one.
A Place to Connect
Often we can feel a little bit 'lost in the crowd' if we only attend church services on the weekend. Small groups are a great way to get to know others on a much deeper level than a brief 'Sunday cuppa' allows. They provide an opportunity to meaningfully relate to others and make some good friends who can encourage and support you as you navigate life.
A Place to Grow
Small Groups are a great way for people to grow in their knowledge and love of the Lord Jesus as well as providing opportunities to serve.
A Place to Serve
Small groups are a great place to practically show our love for others through acts of service. This ranges from encouraging, supporting and offering true friendship to those in your group, to participating in the life of the church as a group by being part of the welcoming and supper teams during the Sunday services, for example.
