The founders of Blenheim’s Repair Cafe Blenheim are reflecting on what a busy and interesting couple of years it’s been, with its second anniversary coming up on Saturday.
Volunteer and founding member Stephen Leitch said after a slow start, he estimated the cafe’s volunteers had saved more than 700 items from going to landfill over the past two years.
They’d helped fix everything from gramophones and pyjamas to computers and toilet brush holders.

​The Repair Cafe was officially opened on Saturday February 26 by Mayor John Leggett and Bishop Steve Maina. ​
