The Promised Land - Palm Sunday

Readings: 1 Peter 2:1-9 & Matthew 21:1-11

Sentence: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9

Collect: God of kings and criminals:  your ways are not our ways.  On the way to Jerusalem, with shouts we acclaimed you;  on the way to Calvary, with shouts we condemned you.  Mercifully grant us the way that leads to life,  For you are alive and reign with the Father  in the unity of the Holy Spirit,  one God, now and for ever. Amen

So disappointed we get the pew sheet on line & the side message saying sermon will start in so many minutes--but can't get it . Same happened last week too. do we have to wait an hour if we miss the start? I saw it was going to start in 2mins+ so many seconds, so went to clean my teeth, & when I returned it was saying 6minutes:(

Hi Ken and Marion,

I'm so sorry that you have experienced some grief with the service. The service is actually not live, but pre-recorded and then made available to our church congregation from 8am Sunday so that we might 'virtually' worship together.

The countdown timer counts down until 8am after which it will count the time since the sermon went live online with a +time. For example, in your case it must have been "+6" minutes past 8am when you returned.

Again, I apologise for the distress this has caused and will look at a way of changing the wording so there is no confusion.

Blessings,

Kathy

Thank you to all involved in the service today...so much work gone into it. I was an hour early until I realized the clocks had changed.
