As Traffic Light restrictions around gathered numbers and Vaccine passes have been removed, it has been great to be back in regular worship again. Our first service in this setting was Palm Sunday which really spoke to this moment in time; the disciples celebrated Jesus coming and although they did not fully understand what Jesus would go on to do, they were commended for worshipping Christ who would go on to achieve victory as the king they praised. With Christ, we move forward with hope through what has been a difficult time. Part of that will be acknowledging the affect Covid restrictions has had on us as a community through the 'Moving Forward Together' pathway developed by the Diocese for use in parishes. There will be details on how this will work after Vestry has an opportunity to meet. |
Aside from this, if you would like to meet with me to discuss or simply express any issues you have relating to how the restrictions were managed here, I am making myself available for the beginning of each week (Mon-Tues, 8:30am-6pm) for the next 3 weeks for that. Please contact Roz to organise a time that would suit - I hope to meet with you and listen to any concern.
We do have a sense God is calling us to gather around Jesus and to follow him - all have a place and a role in that as we continue to see his kingdom grow amongst us.
