Sentence: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Ephesians 1:3
 
Collect: Sovereign God, we have no good apart from you; gladden our hearts in following your radical call so that in your presence we may find the fullness of joy; through Jesus Christ our Liberator, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Philippians 2

Readings: Philippians 2:1-18, Philippians 2:19-30 & Mark 15:16-20

Sentence: ‘If then there is any encouragement in Christ, any consolation from love, any sharing in the Spirit, any compassion and sympathy,  make my joy complete: be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.” Philippians 2:1-2
 

Collect: God of all authority, enable us to hear your call and do what you ask of us. Forgive us for judging others, help us to embrace the outcast and the downtrodden. Transform our lives so that everything we do may proclaim your generous love. Through Jesus Christ our Liberator, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen

Sentence: “We boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.” Romans 5:2b

Collect: God, glorious in Trinity, no dimensions can define you or thoughts contain you. Beyond stretch of time and space you unfold the cosmos, from the rising of the sun, to its setting, blessed are you, trinity in unity. This we ask through Jesus Christ our Mediator. Amen.

Readings: Romans 8:14-17, Acts 2:1-21; & John 14:8-17

Sentence: Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability. Acts 2:3–4

Collect: Holy Spirit of God, as of fire, forging, purging, all-consuming: touch us with love, purge us from the dross of sin and self, so that we may tell your glory in the furnace of the world. With the Father and the Son, you live and reign, one God, now and forever. Amen.
