Sentence: You shall love the Lord you God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the greatest and first commandment.  And a second is like it: you shall love your neighbour as yourself.  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 22:37-40
 
Collect: God of love, your Son teaches us the heart of the law.  Open our minds, souls and hearts to discern what you ask of us. Empower us to love you with our whole being, to love our neighbour as ourselves and thus fulfil your law. Collect: Kind and generous God, you prepare a feast for all people.  May we prepare for your banquet by putting on the garment of love that springs from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a genuine faith.  Help us to bring the lost and lonely, the poor and those in need to your feast where all are fed.  Through Jesus Christ our Liberator, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
