Nativity will be holding health and safety training sessions in the Nativity Lounge on:
Anyone volunteering with children and youth, vulnerable adults or the elderly are required to complete this training with the goal of keeping people within these groups safe. Even if you think you have minimal contact with these groups, we encourage you to attend one of these sessions out of love for the people we serve.
The training sessions will be facilitated by Jacinda Thompson and Dion Mundy and will include discussion as you work through the material, followed by a short quiz at the end.
If you require childcare so that you can attend the training session, please let me know and I will organise this.
To register for one of these training sessions, either complete this form online by clicking the link: Health & Safety Training or see Roz at the Church Office.
If you have any questions about this training, please contact me (Kathy) either via email or through the church office. Further information can be found on the flyer attached.

On September 19th, the New Zealand public are going to vote in both a general Election and at the same time on two binding referenda: The End of Life Choice Act, and the Legalisation of Recreational Cannabis. Of these two highly important pieces of legislation, this presentation by Rev. Dr Graham O'Brien will focus on the End of Life Choice Act (EOLC), to explain what the EOLC Act means to inform our voting, its consequences, and the reasons people might consider to vote YES or NO.
The evening will include a 45min presentation followed by an opportunity for questions and answers regarding both referenda topics.
Rev Dr Graham O'Brien, is the ministry education coordinator for the Anglican Diocese of Nelson, Co-Chair of the InterChurch Bioethics Council, and committee member for the national "Vote No" campaign.
Our popular "When it's time to say Goodbye" seminar is happening TONIGHT at the Nativity Church Lounge. This is not just for Nativity members, so if you know anyone who might be interested, please let Jan (at Reception) know.
